call Schneider and see if they will pay for your school. I do know they will reimburse up to 7k.
Little help?

Teasing aside, you will find that many truckers are confined what we call a passenger policy and non authorized drivers via Insurance and other reasons.
You will eventually behold the power of Insurance in banning people who specifically are not hired to drive a particular truck. And even to be a passenger means to sign forms releasing the trucking company from all liability in the event you get maimed, lose limbs, disfiguring, chopped up or even killed. You are absolutely on your own risk with life and limb as a passenger.
Hope you have your own insurance with a generous payout to your family.
In short you will NOT find anyone to give you joyrides behind the wheel with a big truck unless you know of someone who owns a farm with good ground and a harvest rig off season to roll around in.HWYSLAVE Thanks this. -

[Qo pass the road test, most companUOTE="HWYSLAVE, post: 7793796, member: 221585"]Let me know if you find someone to give you some seat time. I would be happy to pitch in on cost if you find someone willing! Got my CLP last week, I'm considering the same as I already have pretrip down pat![/QUOTE]
Even if you found a friend or family member, etc. to give you enough seat time for you to pass the test, most major companies won't hire you for a Class A driving job without a certificate saying you attended an approved school, for at least 160 hours of training. For Class B jobs (Dump Truck, Tow truck, School Bus, etc.) nobody cares if you went to school or not, but when it comes to tractor trailers, the insurance companies want the certificate in most cases.
