it's only going to get more expensive in the coming years. not only of course the usual expenses like fuel, pay/benefits for the instructors and associated insurances a school MUST HAVE, but the constant bombardment of all these "chicken littles", running around clucking that there is such a driver shortage, will only go to strengthen the costs of schools teaching CDL.
trust me on this, not only will school raise thier prices, but so will ALL the states in the CDL array of fee's, tests, as well as anyone needing (or wanting) that useless TWIC card.....
we as an industry that swallows us up and spits us out, are still CASH COWS to everyone......
the states, KNOW that we either are drivers, and NEED to renew our CDL at renewal times, or are WANNABE's, that think they wannabe a truck driver, and the states WILL CAPITALIZE on those "wants/needs"...
it's "in the cards", as i see it, for YOUR future, NOT MINE, as retirement looms for me, and my day to turn in my CDL for an ordinary operators license. and when i do retire, and turn in my CDL..??
i'll be doing this, in the LOOOONG DMV line.....
