My co. would pay all ifta till I got 2 bad dot insp at scales or on side of road, IFTA costs a very small few $ per mo. unless you run alot of mi. in fla. and only buy fuel in ga. then you can owe a large ifta bill, if you have to pay the bill you can get a list of how much fuel tax each st. charges from ooida, you can learn how to save $ by filling up in some states and not buying any gal in others!

I pay my own bobtail insurance, $2200 or there about a year, that will depend on which state you are in too. The company picks up the other insurance, cargo and liability etc. They file the IFTA that I record, quarterly payments are around $14, I pay those. I buy my own plate, $2000 a year, I pay my own 2290, $550 a year along with paying state and federal taxes. I pay my own Oc/Ac, $48 a month. Truck is paid for, clear title.

Oc/Ac is through AIG insurance company. I bought it on my own when I worked up in ND in the oil field a few years ago. You can try your insurance company you use for truck insurance, but I found they were rather high.

Let’s say you take 3 weeks off...do they charge for liability insurance for those weeks?

What I mean is....if you take a few weeks off does the company charge you back for the liability insurance since there is no revenue coming in?
