Most places are that biodiesel blend crap. It is paradise for critters. :(

Sounds like a plugged air filter or some other intake restriction. Not enough air = no power and poor fuel economy.

Been running the K&N filter. Might go back to the paper filter.

That might also be an issue. The ECM expects the paper filter. Any mods can throw it off.

What ever air filter you use, you need to look inside the intake tube when it's off. If you have dust inside the tube, your engine has been sucking dust into your cylinders. Make sure you grease the air filter seal.

Black goo in fuel filter is most like from asphaltine. It's not algae it's fuel that is seperating. Thanks to bio fuel shelf life. But bio blend does put lubrication back into the ULSD, and is good for cleaning injectors.

    Ooohhhh...

You do realize K&N filters have oil in them. I'm always amused that people believe these gimmicks, yet never question why high performance cars don't have k&n as factory install.

Your intake sensors might be contaminated, leading to incorrect air/Fuel mix ratio

You do realize that k&n truck filters are dry no oil, yet still washable right?

    I had no idea.

I don't use k&n filters, but I've seen them selling a post wash oil spray

    x1Heavy and Oldironfan Thank this.

Is the d13 susceptible to asphaltines since it is not common rail?

    KB3MMX, x1Heavy and 25(2)+2 Thank this.
