Yea to a point. But there isnt much profit to be made to recoup maintenance issue. I did a fixed mileage lease for 1.20mi fsc included. Barely made it thank good i had a bank roll before the lease and after i completed it my bank roll was the same after 46months. Now i lease my trk to a company that allows you to work load boards at 70%. If no company loads are available in your area. The difference in pay is about 900wk even after the trk payment is taken out thats double compared to the lease purchase i did 6yrs ago. Now if i do strictly load boards i have made on avg 1500 more a wk than i did on a lease purchase. As an owner op i get paid same as a lease purchase driver only difference i pay my bills end of each month instead of each week. Companies can afford to pay more they just choose not to. Company i work for is a small fleet of 200 trks a lease purchase driver can easily make 1.50 1.70 1.80 consistantly pulling nothing but customer loads. Throw in a cpl loads off the load boards you can bring that avg up .20mi

That's what I'm trying to do I been even thinking to take a freight broker course before doing the L/P to help me learn more on who to pick loads from, but many have told me not to do it cuz is not worth it the same with the L/P, but I been listening to drivers on you tube like Jeffery Like, who gives a great explanation on how L/P works, and other drivers like Lil Dawg, Ms Diva Trucker, loshawn parks, So-Cal Trucker and others like them and they sound & look real it all depends on how you structure & operate the business it can work . I'm calling today Quality to ask them for some more info that the one they have on their WS on their L/P program, I'll see what carriers i can pull for where they have both dispatch systems.

    Well said.
I am seeing a lot of winning on the utubes from guys struggling. Funny thing, they always say "I did everything they wanted" but then the story includes a lot of "I had to go here and take time off, I had to go there and take time off, I had to see my mom, I don't think you should have to run your ### off and stay out all the time to make money"
You shouldn't have to stay out all the time to make money. But thats trucking. You either stay out and make money, or you spend time at home and don't.

Maybe I’m just crazy but a guy that doesnt wanna chain up to cross the pass. Sounds like a man who knows his limitations.. also most receivers if given notice will reschedule a appointment to accommodate weather or a breakdown!! Think that’s a poor excuse to cut a drivers miles for being safe!! Doing whatever it takes to be on time sounds a lot like safety is not a priority with you!! As for the other guy who is racking up the miles and is guaranteed to pay off his truck!! I’m really curious as to what shape this truck will be once paid off from all these miles!! Like I said I may be crazy but running your butt off and taking risk just to be on time to get a title for a high mileage truck seems high risk with very little reward
