I do not know what Bay and Bay have in their trucks, but Crete trucks are fairly bare-bones compared to some companies.

Crete trucks do not come with an inverter or fridge, but they can be installed. The driver pays for them over time, incrementally.

Crete trucks have Opti Idle, not APU's. Some of the older Internationals have some horrid battery-powered idle-reducing system that isn't an APU OR Opti Idle, but I think those are phasing out.

First, note, I am on the SHAFFER side and pull reefer. My miles are a bit lower than they would be if I were pulling dry van, probably, but the CPM is a bit better.

I am aggressive in seeking loads, and normally want every mile I can get. Today, 03/17, marks 1 year and one day with Crete. My first load was 1000 miles to get home from Wilmer, Texas. That truck was crap and had to go into the shop, so they got me another.

I have been in my current truck from mile 197065, and my odometer now reads 333666. Total miles driven with Crete in 1 year and 1 day = @ 1000 + 136601 = @137601

My average miles per week have been around 2650 for the full year, and that includes counting hometime days as driving days.

My November miles were low because I was experimenting with chasing my 70, running 9 hours per day and running recaps. It was horrible. I didn't even hit 10k miles in November.

This time out was pretty bad too, they pulled me off of three 34's to pull short, high priority loads, which led to strings of very bad days with few miles. I may have failed to get to 10k miles in February as well.

I have friends that work for both companies. My friend that works for Bay & Bay is currently looking for something else, says he's starving there. My friend that works for Crete is very happy. Based on what I've heard from them, I'd go with Crete.
