I for the most part start between 3 and 5am. I like to be at my delivery as rush hour starts, leave when things lighten up for my pickup and get 400-500 miles in before evening rush hour if I have to go through any major cities. I usually shut down about 50-100 miles from receivers. Works well for me and my dispatcher knows what kind of schedule i like to keep!

ever heard that fraze " early to bed early to rise makes everyone healthy and wise " i've done if years not sure if its made me healthy or wise but it does give one the added advantage of finishing earlier in the day

Crete/Shaffer is one of the larger companies with good pay and picky recruitment. Because of that, they have a large percentage of veteran drivers. Experienced drivers tend to plan better, so they don't get stuck trying to find a spot to park.

Sometimes it can't be helped, because of live load or unload times, but I normally try to end my day either at 0400-0500 or 1500-1600.

2am is perfect for the east coast if your an AM driver. But for Winter season, i think i started right before sunrise because of the plows in some areas.

Negative...I start rolling at 1 or 2 am im "done" by 1 or 2.Yes,I get the "good spot" at a TS or hotel. I dont "fight like hell" to pass 8 trucks 5 miles from the TA. I know by past experience that the only spots after 4 pm are the infamous "4 Corners". Too much work. JMO
