Our guys run a average of 9 hours a day. The company encourages strongly taking a lunch. But to date has not required it...

Trailer broke down at the beginning of my shift with no replacement in sight. Took trailer to vendor where they quoted me two hours to fix the dragging ICC bumper.
I went ahead and logged myself off my stupid electronic babysitter to get the break portion knocked out.
Long bullspit story short. Trailer got fixed three hours past schedule. I ran my route and got most drops done .
On my two hour journey back I ran out of hours again. I pulled off an offramp, crossed over to an onramp. I then sat there for 30 minutes watching all the trucks and cars I passed wizzing by earlier.
30 minute mandatory break while being 20 miles away from my barn. Unreal .
After my second thirty minute break I completed my last 20 miles of driving only to be down to my last 15 minutes left before going over my 14 hours.
Absolutely asinineLast edited: Sep 2, 2018

Why does it have to be so hot all of the sudden
it's been in the low 80s for the past few days
working on the dock for few hours last night was no fun
Mike2633 Thanks this. -
Well, my 42 ft liftgate trailer broke down again. My replacement is a 53 ft liftgate.
I am trying to find the wording to describe how it does in moderate to sever traffic conditions and tight alleyways...
Oh yeah... I would swim through an ocean full thumbtacks right now to get my old short trailer back . That's how my days been going. -
No need. I get the picture.
That’s why we have those little pink forms that say “returned freight”.road_runner Thanks this. -
Was told to come in at 12pm. Quickly walked around the yard only to find no tractor available. No big deal I worked on the dock for 1 hour till someone came back from the road. Then had to find 2 empty pups, but again couldn't find any so I had to unload 2 that were almost empty.
One of them had to be taken to the shop because of this
Then there is this guy that have been here for a while and hes a city driver. However he doesn't like dealing with the city, so they have him work on the dock for few hours and then offer him a road run.are you kidding me
