The stubby low-profile ones that accept 2-3 USB cables.

Is that form factor a recipe for failure?

Duracell seems to be the best in my experience. 2.1 amp can charge 2 things at once. Bought 4 of them over 2 years ago, still using the 1st two and the other two haven't even been opened yet.

No other in the past has ever lasted like that.

Anker products seem to work really well, I've never had much luck with the multi connector style cords.

You want your ports to put out at least 2.1 amps.
For a dual device that would be 4.2 amps.

I"m going on 6 years with my verizon plug. Dual ports.

I"ve had em break. But never had them fail.

They aren't high tech. You can get one a 7/11 for $5.

The cheap ones dispense with the spring-loaded tip, so the power fails the moment the charger isn’t a tight fit in the socket.

They also might kill your phone by outputting 12V unregulated, or just barely keep it charged at 500mA. Cheap is not good.

Also some of the cheaper cords out there can cause issues with many of the Lithium Ion newer style batteries. In order to get a good life out of the battery you want a clean consistent power source. Also some of the better chargers can sense when the battery is starting to get full and kick down the power some allowing it to finish charging a lower amp rate reducing the heat output.

I second Anker. Get good quality cords too.
