No they are not forcing it on us. It is optional.

Outward facing, that's better but realize it picks up audio from inside the truck so ROFL all you want. That is an incab recording device. Not sure why they gotta be listening to your conversations.

I can only think of a few regular Holland customers that are difficult to access the docks. Some places have nearby or on-property parking where breaks can be completed but most don’t. You could do much worse driving elsewhere. As long as you arrive at your appointments 30-60 minutes prior, you will rarely have excessive wait problems. Some of our shippers and receivers will get you in and out early.

Unload my Idaho fresh potatoes Monday morning in SE PA then to greencastle for a leisurely load out to Sumner for next Monday. I’ll put in home time request soon, to hopefully run directly from Seattle or Portland area to DFW to finalize the quarter.

If all that holds, I’ll be right at 40k miles to finish the quarter and average trip length of 1,850 miles (MT+LD). A bit above my average and where I like it but I had to squawk a bit midways thru the quarter when things started getting slow. I think that was the only direct communication I had with them all quarter for any reason and that was email.

Be careful of customers that are shipping out of US Wine, American Canyon, CA.. Two different times and different trips from there delivered to some places that a combination tractor trailer should not deliver to. Once in New Orleans, LA and the other was Lafayette, LA. Narrow non-truck streets and straight truck properties. Those two places I entered into my black book for future non-deliveries. Unsafe. Notified Holland also of these addresses. Been OTR driver since 1996.

Nothing new that's what you will get with some of the Wine/Beer Distributors.

I had a not so fun one in STL once.
They told me, don't block the road the place down the street will call the cops.

Hey guys looking at jumping on at this company with 2 solid and clean years under my belt with the same company. What are the trucks limited to speed wise? Do they have APU’s, inverters? I’m normally a stay out 5-6 months head home for a solid week then get back on the road! An before you say crazy....no just genuinely love driving.

Also do they force dispatch because I told the recruiter I won’t go to DC, Baltimore, would do upper New York if they had the Chobani yoghurt run (those paid me hella good money due to the company for some reason having it set up as 4 stops @$32.50 a stop) and trying like hell to stay away from the hell that is New Jersey...he was ok with it when we talked but informed him I don’t do them anymore an will decline the load

But gonna negotiate with them Monday because I was being paid .43 cpm with a .5 cpm bonus every quarter and from what I took away Holland seems smaller so definitely gonna tell em .40-42 is not me and if you want me .43 is where it has to be.
