Trained at facility then check ride will be done by head safety from out of state. Then later you will be sent out of state for final orietation if it' not held at your terminal at the time.
Training for lin/lox/lar was around 4 weeks then another 3 weeks for the HES program.

Out here most of our customers are high volume big tanks. We have one customer that has dual fill points since two trucks unloading at once can't even keep up lol.

Sorry about the delayed response. I try to talk to other drivers vs recruiters, as I just feel like you get more of an actual scoop on things.

There are 2 locations around where I live. One location is 30 mins north, the other is about 45 mins east of me.

    Location 1 - Co2 only...bulk tanker. Pull own product.

Location 2 - liquid oxygen, liquid nitrogen, liquid argon...bulk tanker. Pull competitor product, but deliver to AP customers.

As with anything, both locations seem to have pros/cons.

Any light that you can shed on the different products?

At location 2, I was told something about that all of the 3 products were Lin Lox. Not sure what that means, but figured I'd give that information up. Lol

I like pulling our own product at our own plant because we have priority over the competitors. Sometimes they have to wait while we keep loading and taking care of business. LIN,LOX,LAR is by far Air products biggest customer base as well and that is short for liquid nitrogen, oxygen, and argon.

Thank you! I was a bit confused with all of the lingo. Lol. I was a bit discouraged when I was told that there is no actual AP location at location 2, but yeah. There are pros/cons to both locations. Not a bad pay scale, benefits, and retirement packages. The only thing that makes me wonder is that I can't get any real details about why one location is constantly hiring, other than drivers dont wanna work nights or weekends

There are pros/cons to both, but that's what I was leaning towards. Gotta do some more thinking.
