Anyone making any money hauling frac or water around Midland/Odessa?

There are a bunch of outfits to lease on with out here. But make sure your driver is aware of what it's like out here before you send them out. I'm in West Texas with my own truck. Let me tell ya, it's NOT for me at all. I've been out here over 2 months and and about 6k put into the truck. These lease roads will take its toll. Fuel is about $4 a gallon,and I won't even start on how folks drive. Not trying to scare ya off. It's dangerous out here in the Kermit area. Ask anyone about route 285 from Orla to Pecos. Now to the rates, I'm running boxes and my honest opinion is I believe I can make the same running the road without busting up my truck. From what I hear and have been told, rates are nothing like the last boom. You will have to find a good outfit with several wells if you're gonna run sand boxes. No clue on water trucks other than I'd like to have a personal talk with some of them. Not really sure where they get their cdl's at but WOW! I've tried it for a bit to say that I did and found out that I'd rather be home with my family down near the water. Lol, best of luck to ya

 

Think twice!!!!! Lol. Several companies out here but not sure who is better than who. I've been out here for a little over 2 months and found out this is not for me. Headed home shortly. It's very expensive out here to run. West Texas that is. Way too much abuse on a truck. Dangerous roads and suicide drivers in my opinion. Rates are not that great with the sand boxes from what I've seen and been told. Crude hauling may be the way to go but not really 100% on it. I gave it a shot but I'm a home body now and would rather be with my family. No amount af money could replace that time lost. Find a great driver that will take great care of your equipment. No trucks with super singles. These shops out here will get ya! Buy a Abrams Tank with a sleeper and you should be good for sure. Lol
