Lifetime bids could be a blessing or a curse, but for $30 an hour...hey, whatever. Haha

For all the boxes I unload every week. Today got me. I'm installing a new lawn at my house (I couldn't get any landscapers to come and do it for me, they don't return phone calls or answer the phone. Well one did he said he was way to busy and was short handed on help.) Turns out, I was talking to a landscaper who was driving by and he told me that all the "kids" who they would like to hire are all hopped up on fentenal and drugs, uppers, downers, goof balls etc etc and they are all unreliable and to much of a liability to hire and that's why I had to install a new lawn my self.

I screwed up and didn't get the right rototiller I should have gotten the biggest one they had with the knoby tires and self propelled feature. The one I rented, got the job done, but it was a little to light weight and I had to manually pull it back it was a lot of work tilling all that soil.

And yet older people aren't hireable either, likely because those landscape guys don't pay much. There's a landscape worker shortage like there's a trucker shortage. I had a TM tell me the other day that the huge terrible shortage is why they have service failures, by the way they pay 16/hr and when can I start?

That tiller was likely a handful with that dinky wheel. That's like a food service guy using a Harbor Freight hand truck.

    Cardfan89 and Mike2633 Thank this.

Yeah it was a lot of energy to pull that thing backwards to till all that soil it broke the dirt up and tilled okay, but a heavier one would have done a better job, I think all though this one was adequate, but when I do my back yard I am getting the big one. My biceps and stuff were sore and I even had to take a quick break while using that machine that how much effort I had to put into tilling that soil.

That had to have been some serious work to make a foodservice guy's arms sore!

Just caught up with all the posts that I have missed. Woof:oops:

Left the yard after 9 am this morning and not even 10 miles away from the yard my tractor dies. Now I'm waiting for the towing service to come. I was supposed to go to the railyard in North Bergen Nj come back and go again.

Sitting here on the shoulder with 35,000 lbs containero_O good thing they pay by the hour for railyard runs

Dang that CSX railyard in North Bergen is a pain in the butt to find. No signs or anything. Had to call another driver that went there recently and ask how to get there. What a dog and pony show.
