I asked for your drivers license number, as you said you would ask for the license number of a recruiter, so you could do a background check on them. You said if they wouldn't provide it, that they are up to something, or trying to hide something. You didn't provide it, just curious as to why that was.

And no, I'm me, and he's him. I hate flying and don't do well working at night......

Go back and read my post again.

What I said was that first and foremost I ask for the companys DOT number or MC and check them out on the FMCSA website. Believe it or not Ive had several companies get mad when I asked this and one guy he just stopped communication with me. I think he was using a false company name to lure me in.

    Anyways,

If the above checks out I might or might not need more info. I want to know who I am going into business with- being a Driver in a small company is like being a business partner. They will get all my info and check my background why should I not do the same? The DL number is needed to run a background check. The persons full, legal name is needed to run a warrant search.

Its a 3 step process not hard to figure out. And it does change the tone of any interview process- not only are 'they' getting to know me and finding out who I am , but I am doing the same to them.

.I'll bet it does change the tone of the interview process.
Has anyone in the hiring process actually given you the kind of personal information you're demanding?
If I was interviewing you I'm pretty sure what my reaction would be.
Also, it would probably become one of those stories that we pass around at lunch..."had a guy in here the other day looking for work and he demanded my DL number so he could run a background check on me and look for warrants and such". It would be fun to watch all the eye rolling and hear some of the comments.
But I can see you're determined so good luck to you.

The short reply is yes. I have gotten that information. On the other hand I have had persons get upset just for asking the DOT number. Depends on the company.

Secondly, I never speak to 'recruiters'. Why deal with a middleman? I want to talk to the owner myself. If I cant do that then the company is too big for me.

Lastly, is it just me or has anyone noticed the companies that have the word 'logistics' are generally NOT to be trusted? Just an observation.

4K a week and they aren't even going to throw up fake pay statements to verify it....as chiseled in granite....what a waste of threading.
It's like a drive-by with a paper sack of wet p00p....jus throw it and see what sticks or how fast it slides off!
MB Global doesn't even make 4K claims on their own website or craigslist adds that they don't even run on Chicago craigslist....presently seeking people in St. Louis Craigslist.
Why can't they just run the adds as what they are and spell out the lease/lease/rental terms .....and whats up with the blue sheild 1 what does that mean....is that their jousting banner.....why do you see some of the most non-creative logo emblems and strange names for companies.....
    I think it's a language/linguistic barrier.
They make a run at the hurdle and never clear it.
