They're a garbage company, do you like to work for free? They pay crap (worked there as a driver and a fleet manager) and no you cant take their trucks home, you'll be slip seating so the truck stays at the yard

It all depends on the account. Every one is different. I doubt you can take the trucks home though. Don't listen to the Duckster, he probably got fired for not getting out to look ;)

I was set to earn 74,000 this year at the Home Depot account. Switched to Steelcase a few months ago and will most likely earn more.

Not that I'm going to go there, but do you have to unload/tailgate at Steelcase? I tried the Simmons Mattress account with them, but since I'm vertically challenged (5' 5") I couldn't reach the 3 or 4 that they would load flat on top of the ones on the floor stacked on their ends. Some places the guys would come in and help, but they made it known that they weren't happy about it, and some wouldn't, so the account didn't work for me, and I left and went back to no-touch freight.

Steelcase is "driver assist" meaning your not supposed to be the only one working back there. I have always had at least one other person helping. If we do a site location, the movers/installers usually do everything and I can chill. Some places are union so they instruct me to stay in the truck. Honestly I was worried about it myself but it's really no big deal.

Probably the worst advice I have heard about jb hunt in all 2018.

I do not work for free, my account(goodyear Terrell TX) says drivers will average 70k a year, however by the end of this year I will be around 85k. No slip seating, if you have a place at home to park the thing then go right ahead and leave it at there for the weekend.
