If you get there early before receiving opens up in the morning try to set your self in one of the first 3 doors before other trucks come in. The place is small and you have a 4 foot drop at the front part of the lot.... Becareful. If you get there later you might be put on a waiting list.

 

Wow. These cats that wash the trucks at the yard sure don't get in any hurry. I'm trying to get this dirty girl washed and head home. 45 minutes and 2 trucks washed. And another one in front of me. They need to get the guys from Blue Beacon to come and show them how it's done! Lawdy!!

 

Don't drive off the embankment.

 

Pennsauken Stay Fresh ain't that bad, really. Especially since they'll let you sleep overnight in a dock. They're not a 24/7 operation, but they seem to leave their gate open. I've gotten there at 8:00pm, backed into a dock, and gotten woken up at my 7:00am appointment time by the lumpers unloading my truck.

I always go up the Turnpike, though. I-95 through Philly is almost as bad as the Beltway.

I realize this is outdated info since your trip was two days ago, but might be handy in the future.

 

Yeah. Wasn't bad but I got lucky in that both trucks that were there left at the same time so it was wide open for me. I guess all those Battery Dantzler runs at 2am paid off.

 

Anyone here have the basic directions to get in and out of BH Brooklyn? TIA.
