Now if we can only keep these “mpg chassers” and megas out the fast lane and out of middle lane in no Truck left lane zones we might could actually get somewhere while we blowing money out the stack lol

41250/90,000 = .458 cpm, ok.
So for example. I have a load going 750 loaded and 70 empty. Total 820 miles at 7 mpg and pay approx 2.77 gal. My fuel cost per mile is 324/820 = .39 cpm with this one load. -
i hope its real low for prime trucks, i would hate to see them creating traffic clusters for nothin.
jsnell Thanks this. -
I’m at about $0.46-0.49 cents per mile on fuel. And that’s lugging heavy equipment around the majority of the time.

Old school drivers from the 70s had a real easy way to figure what freight costs to run. And I think it reigns true today.
You should be hauling freight per mile for what a gallon of fuel costs.Shotgun94, wore out, stuckinneutral and 1 other person Thank this. -

Let's see here, I'm averaging about 7 miles per gallon......fuel is starting to creep back up, I've been getting fuel at prices averaging $3.03-$3.15 so. Average cost has gone up to the ball park of $0.43-$0.45 per mile. That cost can decrease in Mississippi, Oklahoma, Missouri, but you'll make up for it in IFTA

8% of gross receipts last calendar year.

3 divided by 8 =0.375 $/mileDave_in_AZ Thanks this.
