    I know it makes little difference in lengths of way less than 100 ft but most don't have a perfect set up so we will take any advantage we get..

    I always felt the velocity factor can't make much difference in, say, 10 feet of coax in a vehicle. Now, a hundred feet or more in a base application, that would seem to raise the importance.

    This is especially true when one considers how compromised an antenna system in a vehicle is anyway when dealing with the impossible-to-satisfy ground plane/counterpoise/elevation/etc requirements for 11 meter applications.

    You are correct. Unless you are needing coax that is resonance for a certain frequency, the velocity factor doesn’t matter.
