Denney Transport Denver CO

Yea. So comkng off of home time, I’m always headed to Denver. Either from LA or Vegas. Once in Denver, I’ll isually lay over a day(sometimes 34 hour, just depends on loads/load I pick) in Denver. Then I’ll run east. Sometimes the northeast, sometimes southeast or Carolinas. Once I finish off that load, you’ll always get re loaded for Denver area(sometimes Walmart in Cheyenne). Usually the back haul to Denver is dry freight, 1 pick 1 drop. I’d say 80-90% of the time you’ll just drop those in our yard and local guys will deliver. After that, if you have hours you can run east again, most of us reset then go.

I’ve done a few runs to Seattle and Portland. Haven’t seen one pop up in a while. Same this with Texas. I think the guys that live in those areas get those.

After leaving home I’ll usually do 2 good east runs, then take an LA load to get home that 3rd week. With Halloween, thanksgiving and Christmas I’ll be doing 3 east coast turns before heading home to line up hometime on all the holidays.

This week was fairly easy. 6 stop load with 4 stops in Michigan, 2 in Ohio. 1600 miles($832), $240 stop pay, $230 in lumping pay(unloading myself), and $200 for 2 days layover in Denver waiting for this load. Once I got to my last stop I was already dispatched on the next load. 1446 miles($750), pickup/delivery pay $50(yes, if you deliver a back haul you get $50!).

Rounding out the week at 3,046 miles, $2303 gross. From when I left Denver, to getting back I’ll have used maybe 55 hours of my 70. Decide my gross by hours worked and that’s about $41 an hour.

 

Or... including all the bonus pay.. I’ll have averaged .75/mi this week

 

It’s funny, I had never heard of them before seeing an ad on Craigslist. Hardly found anything online, hence why I started this thread. Just kinda took the leap and it worked out haha.

 

I know we have a few, but I’m not sure of much info on it. I was talking to one a few months back and he was running to North Carolina and back and was grossing I think $6k or $7k to the truck that week.
