Oklahoma CDL nightmare...

First I want to say thanks to any and all that reply to this and give me any tips and advice I really appreciate it.

Okay so here's my dilemma I'm trying to get my Class A CDL in Oklahoma so I can become an owner operator I've had two people in my family already do it and now they're working the oil patch and the money they're making is just beyond insane they're making more than doctors and dentists etcetera.. I quit my normal job and went and worked for my dad he trained me and I worked for him for about the last four and a half months because I guess what happened was is is a lot of the Oklahoma DPS examiner's quit their job I guess because the lack of pay raise amid other things. So I drove with my dad after giving getting my permit for about a month and went to schedule my test so I could go ahead and see if I would pass or not because my father thought I was ready to at least get the full CDL and then work for him for a little bit longer cuz he didn't want to release me until I was ready. Well I soon found out that it wasn't going to be as easy as I thought.. it took nearly two months just for me to get in to take my first test and as some of you may know the state of Oklahoma doesn't do anything right which I think most people gripe about their own States government and how unorganized they are. So it takes me two months to get in and the first time they failed me on the pre-trip because I didn't say that the windshield wipers weren't corroded (I said they were working and the spray was working but I didn't say they weren't corroded) and then they also failed me on the fact that I didn't say the coolant reservoir wasn't leaking fluid (I said it wasn't leaking just not that it's not leaking fluid) and I guess on the heater and defroster I tested them but she said that I didn't let them get to where they were blowing hot air so I didn't wait long enough.. So after failing I went back out with my father for another 2 months driving working on the truck and getting to know everything that's involved with being an owner operator and I went and took my second test 2 days ago I passed the pre-trip inspection with flying colors I passed the in cab and I passed the air brake test all perfect, but I failed my backing test.. I don't know if some of you people know that in Oklahoma there's only two places you can rent a truck and both places the trucks are very small as well as the flat beds are very small so they get away from you very rapidly.. It's almost like trying to back a jet ski into the lake so it's not like my dad's full size pneumatic trailer so I'm not really used to that... So after failing that I called yesterday to reschedule and now they're telling me they can't tell me what day the new schedules are going to come out and that both places Oklahoma City and Tulsa are booked up until the beginning of November I just don't see how this is possible I would think that the trucking companies in the oil and gas industry would be freaking out because there's such a lack of CDL drivers in this state and the State is making it so hard for us to get our CDLs it's become almost a nightmare.. It's one of the hardest and most stressful things I've ever done in my life nothing in college was this stressful... So now I have to go back to a normal job and then try to squeeze in training and backing up practice and stuff like that while supporting my family working this normal job and trying to juggle everything else.. Also my pwrmit expires in November so I have to redo everything.. It's just very annoying because I could get into a semi truck right now whether it be a 10 speed 13 speed 18 speed and I believe I could safely navigate from here to North Dakota and back, but they failed me because I used one too many pull ups on my backing test which I don't understand because most companies are going to put you with someone for 6 weeks if you're a green CDL driver and i see tons of veteran drivers having to make several pull ups at sites all the time... My whole point of this was I just wanted to know if there was any tips anyone could give me it's just very stressful as a young guy trying to make it and it seems like the hardest part of this whole thing is just the state of Oklahoma and how unorganized and under managed the DPS seems to be.. I had heard that if you went to a truck driving school that they had their own appointment system through the state and I called one and I'm prepared to just go ahead and finance it just so I can get my CDL faster but they're telling me that they go off the same appointment list as well now I don't know if that's true because a lot of people I knew always thought that the DPS examiners were easier on the truck driving school students and that they got them in faster for appointments due to the fact that the truck driving school we're paying more taxes to the state of Oklahoma and they felt they were trained better.. It just seems like the state of Oklahoma as well as the federal government are both making it very hard on people who were trained by like a relative and or who are self-taught Etc. I don't know if it's like that in other states and sometimes I read on these forums it seems like in other states people get right in and they can retest within a week but for those of us here in Oklahoma that's like the hardest part is the fact that we're having to wait a month or two just to get back in.. If I could re-test 2 days after I fail I wouldn't be stressed at all even if it took me 5 times etc.. At this point I'm going to start practicing backing up with a pickup and a small car hauler flatbed since that's closer to the trailer we have to rent for our test..

I'll just re wrote this reply.. Yeah it will take me 2 to 3 months to get my own truck after passing anyways. I'll probably go haul water after I pass. Yeah my brother in law is 25 and he is a fresh O.O. In 6 months he bought a house, saved up enough for an INFRAME and more, bought a newer suv, got his own LLC and authority etc.. So it's hard not for me to do the same. I pulled loads for 5 months now and have pretty good experience for most people taking their CDL test.. Yeah I gotta just get to where backing up a trailer is second nature so I don't get nervous.. The waiting list for examination is the hardest and most stressful part... I know it's gonna pay off and I gotta be patient. It's just hard since when my dad and brother in law done this last year they didn't have to wait to retest...
