My left blinkers on my 92, 379 stopped working. The right blinkers work properly and so do the 4 ways. I replaced the flasher and still same issue. I replaced the signal stat 900 signal switch next. Still same issue. The signal stat 900 that I replaced was an older one probably original. The one I bought to replace it with was also a signal stat 900 but bad no high beam. So since the only difference between the two was the lever that the high beam switch was on the end of which i didn't realize when purchased because they were both 900's i swapped the lever and used the one with high beam since the wire harness in the column had the 2 small white wires to the high beam switch. One other difference is the lever in the new one has a blue pilot wire that I believe only gives power to the indicator light on the new signal switch. Since my truck never had a lit up switch I just left the blue wire on the new lever and removed it. The new switch has the same amount of wires 7 with the blue one removed. I don't think my problem is the switch or flasher I see but after asking some old times I've heard that sometimes there are 2 flashers. Any help is much appreciated. Why on Earth would my left blinkers only not be working. Maybe a bad connection on the other end somewhere? Also checked fuses all good

Anytime ivehaI'v a blinker go wonky like that I've had a bad light, usually tail light or a broken ground wire, again usually in the tail lights. Sometimes the will or won't work depending if clearance lights are on or off. Always remember electricity will follow the path of least resistance and do some funky things. Check all your lights. Honestly I think you changed all the wrong parts first

With the new and improved deicers they use now if it gets into a connection it will short or kill it so you should start isolating where the problem is, truck, trailer or even just the pigtail. Unhook the pigtail and start from there. they make a nice brush to clean those connections and a special connection salve to insulate it a bit from that road grime.

Can anyone tell me how the electrical system for blinkers works or is wired? I have the diagram for the signal stat. I mean the harness that gives the stat power and if there are any additional relay's or flasher's?

Here are both switches but again the problem isn't in the switch or the flasher. I used the new signal stat before I switched the lever for high beam and same thing. I used wire nuts while I diagnose then I'll use permanent connectors with heat blah. all the wires were the same except the new one used yellow instead of brown for power.

Without or with a trailer any difference?
I had a screw fall out in the front trailer connector, shorted the right turn line that gave this symptom.

Does the signal light indicator on your dash light up and stay on solid?

Indicator light on dash doesn't light up at all but the lights on the tractor did that for a day or so and now don't come on at all unless 4 ways are on. But light in dash never comes on even with 4 ways on.

If it was a short the dash light would stay on. Must be a broken/corroded wire .
