If your driving through states that don't currently have POE in operation you'll be fine i've actually driven through POE in Sacramento Ca with my drive axles being 1000 lb over no red light to this day i don't know why i didn't get a ticket, also while traveling through (IN) POE got a red light once went into the office showed them my Weigh bridge ticket and how i'd moved the axles they let me off allowed me to readjust my load and slide the axle forward 2 holes and reweigh it got the green light and went anyway while i got away with a few there's no guarantee you will just hope there all asleep when you run through.

I would not worry about the state here, the fine isn't a lot but Wayne county which Detroit is in has been stepping up their truck inspections and looking for overweight trucks seeing I75 has been all tore up. I know one or two cops who will have you go to their portable scales and if they find you over, it means OOS until it is fixed and a fine. Had a driver last week get this crap pulled on him, he wasn't overweight but the two cops harassed him as if he was.

Ohio allows 36000. MO allows 34000 on interstates, 36000 on all other roads. Indiana, 34000. Michigan 34000. Canada, I have no idea.

    Good luck.

My only overweight ticket was in OhighO.
Was 2000 over on the tandems I think. Rookie year and missed the closest scale and elected to forge ahead instead of turn around.

    Ticket was 225 I think.

I know for a fact that Virginia is a stickler for axle weights.

That's quite a bit over, since Ohio allows 36000 on a tandem axle group.

I may be wrong on the poundage. I do remember the scale people at the eye 70 east of Columbus were quite rude.
