Fixed axle, but it is not a spread axle. Thank you for the info on Canada. That means I’m good there. I assume that your comment about Michigan is based on personal experience?
700 Over on trailer, under on gross.

Not personal direct experience. Only ever got 1 over weight, in Ohio. They said Michigan is a gross weight state. To me that means they probably let you get away with 1000 over axle.

All state weight limits can be found here, including what allowances they may have.
Compilation of Existing State Truck Size and Weight Limit Laws - Appendix A: State Truck Size and Weight Laws - FHWA Freight Management and Operations
Missouri allows 2000lb over when NOT on the interstate
With respect to trucks operating on the NHS in Missouri, several provisions in State law allow trucks to exceed some elements of Federal limits:
- On highways other than the Interstate Highway System, vehicles may exceed single axle, tandem axle, and gross weight limitations by up to 2,000 lbs. However, total gross weight cannot exceed 80,000 lbs., except in the case of other specific exemptions.
- Missouri State statute allows for several axle and GVW exemptions for various types of vehicles and commodities.
- In commercial zones, the single axle load limit is increased up to 22,400 lbs.

Ontario you’re legal weight but they don’t really weight trucks in southern Ontario. The first two check stations have scales but I have never seen them in use. The scale in Milton is rarely open. I hear the truckstop directly behind the scale makes a mean cup of coffee. Beware they just redid the road in front of the truckstop and put two big wide areas to set up portables.BUMBACLADWAR, farmboy73 and wore out Thank this.
