    A lot of would-be Native Americans are tracing their ancestry these days. It started about the same time that gambling casinos started being a popular thing on reservations.
    A lot of people who weren't formally enrolled in a tribe suddenly became very interested when they smelled the scent of money.
    Those of us who have a genuine tribal affiliation, and have had for all of our lives, find this humorous. We call them the Wannabe Tribe.

    If you put your DNA in the data base they have it on record now, it is a easy way for them to catalog all the folks in this land. They also can go back and find some that did not get the test done by connecting the dots.

    what an interesting thread... after reading this thread I ordered my AncestryDNA test kit. I am pure Armenian. All my grandparents and theirs parents except one were Armenians. I want to see what will show that kit.

    I was born in SU. My both grandpas went to fight against Nazis. one of them went up to Berlin and came back home injured. My father side grandpa was MIA in Ukraine . We never used "German" word in bad meaning. we were using for that purpose Mongols, Tatars and Turks )))) to describe destroyers, killers,... what I am thinking that there are no bad nations, there are only good and bad individuals or groups( like Nazis for sample).

    You may very well find your not completely Armenian. Some of your ancestors may have migrated from other areas from where they were originally located..its interesting..enjoy!
