    Hey guys,

Anyone know a good lease purchase company that hires new drivers? I'm 6 months in Prime and it was good at first but now they are just ####ing with me! And they say I can refuse any load, but was never allowed to refuse one yet. Anyway, I'm not looking to be a company driver so if you know a good company I can apply to please let me know. I live in Louisiana

You should do some more research, lease purchase is a terrible idea. It is a way for companies to make more off of you while taking liabilities off of themselves.

You want to be an owner operator? Save your money and study this business. With only 6 months experience, you will likely be trained again if you jump companies now.

Plus you may owe them a sum of money for training you got while you worked for less than the year or two you signed up for went you 1st started with them?

Why were you never allowed to refuse a load?

You're right about that. Lease purchase is a terrible idea for the driver but great for the carrier.

Save up and and buy a reliable older truck. The first couple of months may be a little rough financially but it'll be worth it on the long run.

They send you the preplan and say are you good with it? If you say no they call and harass you and tell you or they let you sit till the next day before they offer something else. I don't like to sit

They're ALL a great deal. Stop sitting here typing and get driving! You'll have a fleet in less than one year.

It's called the never never plan because you will never never own that truck. Why would you think it's a good idea to "buy" a truck from someone who also controls your freight?
