    Out of all the big fleets sni was one of the better ones when it came to fixing stuff, mesilla valley was a pain and overpriced (now selling their fleet thru lmt) and comcar was ok but wont negotiate on prices.

    Old story - ‘buyer beware ‘

    @Ridgeline covered the main points.

    Little different from used car purchases.

    I would not touch any used rental truck or tractor with a rented 10 ft pole.
    Garbage fleet spec #### maintained poorly and driven by steering wheel holders who simply don't give a ####.

    Anyone looking to buy a used truck must understand this one basic fundamental flaw.

    NO ONE,.... No one sells a perfectly good money making truck in this business. Your buying someone elses problems. FACT.

    Always expect to put money into a used truck in order to get it,... "Right".

    But in the end,.. and after you have put the money into the truck,.. you now know what you have. You now have a good money making truck. Would you in your right mind sell it after all the money you put into it? Of course not,.. and neither would anyone else.

    Mine had the cab air bag go in the first month. That was a HUGE repair $120. I have about $11,000 in Casper in the first 150,000 miles. $3,000 of that is a rebuilt APU. Just got new steers $1,000. Probably $2,000 in PM's.

    Now everyone can say how fortunate I've been. That will be the hugest crock of ####. I drive it easy. I have a pro PM it every 20K, and he knows his business.

    I just bought another to add a truck and driver, and this one has 100K of the factory warranty left. So we'll see.

    I’d say you’ve been fortunate!!! Seriously minus the apu cost you got $ 8000 for all maintenance and repairs over 150 k. I’m sure that’s more than 1 yr. not bad at all .
