I told the wife that I can now put the microwave back in the truck and she was happy about that cause it takes up what little counter space she has in the kitchen.

Does it run of both APU and while the truck is running? Say if I pulled over an hour before shutting down a plugged a slow cooker with some soup and continued driving, would it work that way?

CannonballAA, MachoCyclone and scottied67 Thank this.

The only time i could think of this having to be used in the real world would be during the winter because when you run the Heat on the Apu you lose the generator. At least on high.MachoCyclone Thanks this. -
Winter? Running heat on high? These are foreign concepts to me, lol. I'm joking of course.
I wonder how many teams here spend much time up North during winter. We seldom get North of I 40 during winter. I actually get upset if we get a pre-plan going that direction when snow is falling up there. Truth be told, I get upset when pre-plan takes us off of I-10, but then realize that JCT doesn't exist just to make me happy. We do sometimes get talked into going up there during Winter and always end up regretting it. Of course, sometimes staying low has it's own issues, we were shut down in Florida for almost 48 hours because of the hurricane.
We also recently had the inverter installed on our 17' Cascadia, no charge to us. It runs our 1000 watt microwave nicely. We also now have a slow cooker on truck since getting the inverter. Wifey is a great cook when given decent tools to work with. The only real issue so far has been having to drive all day while smelling a pot roast cook. All I want to do is pull over and start in on that roast. She has also made stews, chili, red beans and a chicken soup that all have been really good. But dealing with the smells the slow cooker is putting off is just torture while driving!
We also have an electric skillet, its been on truck for a long time. Apu and inverter wont run it and microwave at same time. We tried it once and wont try it again.scottied67 Thanks this. -
