That’s right. Just crank, put In D and stomp the throttle. Stare straight ahead and park 11 hour and 30 mins later. (Gotta take the necessary 30)

I say since ELD are mandatory (for most) might as well make automatic transmissions, track suits and flip flops mandatory for them too.

Making a lot of assumptions there bud. Fits your motif though. And matches the bluster at the truck stop counter.

    Have fun with that.

Assumptions, what are those. Are those like opinions?

Hey you never did clear up where you got your info on red versus blue trucks. Was that just an assumption too or? So no facts then, gotcha.

That's a nice pic of Mr Green's ride you got there. I remember when they rerailed it and Mike and his boys painted it. That's been some years though. Shupe boys shouldn't have let that truck go.

Don't have a D gear on my 18 speed, but I reckon some do.

Merely returning what I'm dealt. Albeit with a little more class.

Ahhhh....that's a matter of opinion or wait no, hold on might be an assumption....or well actually preference.

However, speaking of class, I would suggest you taking a class on a paper logbook though. You actually find you might like them. They are pretty cool. You can still cheat on them like you can an ELD...if that's you're thing.

I don't get the monitored bit. You have to record your time either way. I know a lot of it has to do with a clock staring at you all day but I honestly don't let it tell me what to do. I usually stop well before my 11 or 14 are up, unless it's one of those Vegas runs where a couple days back to back I'll run close to 11. But I don't let it dictate how I run. I have to be more selective about what I do. It honestly hasn't affected my gross revenue. It has helped my net though as I end up driving less and burning less fuel as a result.

As far as stopping or having a life outside the truck, that's on the individual. Not the mode of logging. But some partial blame needs to be put on HOS for being inflexible.

I get why guys run paper. But to act like they're the only way to make anything in trucking is fantasy.

And no one even said that. Not 1 single time, but actually the opposite was said.

That's kinda how this whole conversation started if you go back and look.

That one's a fact. Whether you want it to be or not.

Been there, done it and got the T shirt with paper logs. The electronic ones are fine, provided you aren't technologically challenged.

More assumptions. Ran paper when yanking hopper bottoms across the Great Plains. Electronic has more benefits.
