so yes the def tank is pretty easy to drain and clean up just warm water and that should take care of it, it has a plug in the bottom so you can drain it and rinse it i would also highly advise you run warm water thru all the def lines and make sure there is no build up, it shouldn't be being that the def system is designed to fully drain itself when the truck shuts off and when it sees the truck start it actually hits the pump and brings all the lines and everything to normal operating pressure. so tank is a good idea definately do the def filters there is two of them a big one and the small one on the pump inlet port actually inside the port remove line screw in a drywall screw and pull it up, other than this a couple of times of rinsing the tank with warm water and you should be golden.

    Thanks you.
And how would I run the water through the lines ? Have to take them off and put them back or just put warm water a few times in tank and start the truck ? Wouldn't the water go through doser to scr or it only does the spray when needed to burn soot ? And not when the the truck is start every time .

if you disconnect the line from def doser and start up truck will try to pressurize the system but problem is it might derate you if it doesnt see the system is pressurizing properly you can cycle it a few time and it should put everything thru. just make sure you do the same with clean def that way there is no water left in the system.

And if it does comes to derate then still run the cycle do the cleaning and put the lines back and at the end do force regen with codes reset that should take care of the derate .? And tap water is fine or distilled water ?

I did manage to find and cure my problem and I apologize for not posting my solution earlier but got really busy and simply forgot. Anyways, come to find out there was a bad downstream NOx sensor on the emissions system. Replaced that and have had no more problems since.
