There are 60mph construction zones on I70 in Kansas. Rarely see work. But I drive often at off times. To be honest. Some might step down to 55? I forget.
One time they were working. I slowed to 40-45. I don’t care what they post. I slow to safe when workers present. One close one. I slowed to a 2mph crawl. They only posted something like 25. Gotta be kidding.
Should I fight a speeding ticket?

10 over in a work zone could be considered a "serious" violation, like 15+, tailgating, unsafe lane change. Any 2 of these in a three year period and you lose your cdl for 90 days.
Fight that ticket. -
Your chances of beating it or getting it reduced will vary from state to state, municipality to municipality. Here, your current driving record would speak volumes.
The courts here will have already pulled your 3 year MVR and have it sitting in your case file when you show up to court. It greatly influences the solicitor's or judge's decision should you ask for leniency. A spotless MVR will speak for itself...as would a list of infractions.
Most judges here have sympathy towards CDL holders and certainly take a clean record into consideration in your favor. That said, I can only speak for MY experience in a GA court. Your mileage may vary.jt road hammer Thanks this. -
What happened was I was on the passing lane trying to pass some slower vehicles and I forgot to slow down afterwards. -
