The price of the truck is 4 digits.
From what I looked in to. Google linked a shop that sells that transmission. USED. The pics showing were a clutch shaft with a bearing throwout fork. That's from what I looked in to. So far.
If it did indeed turn out to be an 08 as @Socal Xpress mentioned. With dpf. It would get deleted if possible. It's not likely to be leaving the state.
As stated above. Already emailed the guy. Waiting to hear back.

It might be a good buy. But do you have a local shop to work on the ZF auto? Parts are nightmare from what I have read and if you do a swap it just may not be worth it. Buy and part it out or a scrap it.
-
I would have the company mechanics swap it on their spare time.

Should memory serve me, the ZF automated was a 12 speed and used a pedal clutch for start/stop, at least some did.
Freightliner had these same transmissions in use behind the MBE engines.Last edited: Nov 4, 2018

Thanks @Espressolane
I was starting to think that after looking at pics again. And not seeing any place for a shifter. Seems like that's what the forum was mentioning a few years back. -
The info on the engine says, D13, 485 16
Should be 13 liter engine, set for 485 HP and 1650 lbs torque. That would match the transmission numbers.
The transmission is an overdrive model, rated for 1650 lbs torque, should have 2 more numbers at the end, that is max torque in top 2 gears.
They did make a 16 speed version of the transmission.snowwy Thanks this. -
Yep.
Looks like that 4 digit price would have to go down more to be up for consideration. I"m looking more for a stick and preferably 4wd. Defenitly don't want a volvo with auto. Daycabs aren't easily found around here.
