We almost switch over to DHT but due to the confusion in pay so we didnt finalize it. Team pay is 50 cpm with hazmat, 8 extra cpm (max) for monthly bonus if run over 20k miles, 1 cpm for quarterly safety and another 1 cpm for yearly safety. total 60 cpm max a year if you get everything. it was the second pay chart the recruiter sent us, the first one was lower on the monthly milleage bonus. Then a few posts in the forum all said they (team) get paid around 70 to 72 cpm after all the bonuses and we realized on the pay chart, if the bonuses are Per driver then it should be right. at this point, the recruiter killed it for us, too shady to deal with (or things got change around or posters in here were boosting things up for the referral bonus)

I will tell ya what. I have been speaking to a woman interested in DHT and not once did I tell her my truck number of to use me for a reference. If she does or does not put my name on the application for a referral is up to her, but I never mentioned it or suggested it.

Not saying you did I am saying this is what most people do here, I will tell some one who I am lease to, but I never and will never give out my truck number are driver I'd, I believe that if we are here giving advice it should be from the heart, and should not be looking for anything in return,

I've worked for DHT now for a little over a year, as a driver you get treated pretty good, basically they dispatch you and leave you alone, never had a problem with home time, the down side is the pay is low, they tout all the bonuses but it's not uncommon to hit 11K but then miles drop off, overall the freight is consistent, they say 80% drop and hook but haven't seen that yet, if you end up dropping a load in Laredo they push you into doing some local LTL loads which pay almost nothing. no detention pay! not uncommon to set at a dock for 5 hours waiting to get loaded running your clock all the time for no pay. dedicated fuel stops which are sometimes a real pain for trip planing. Overall if the company would drop the silly bonus program and just pay better .45-.47cpm and pay some detention pay they would be a fantastic company.

Recruiters are pricks. Talk a good game but not all that. Pretty high turnover from low CPM.

Noticed right now the had a pretty big hiring spree. So they said they ran into a issue of more drivers than trucks due to the 2020 trucks not rolling in on time. But miles are still pretty consistent and definitely not 80 percent drop n hook. Recently also, outside facing cameras were installed in all trucks (think that money could of went to paying drivers more but whatever). Audio and inward facing cameras are disabled and have a casing to block inward facing from recording

It’s VERY uncommon not to get bonuses. If you drive and know how to work things. In 5 years I have NEVER missed a mileage bonus.
Dedicated fuel stops a pain for trip planning? There are dozens and dozens of lives and flying Js all over the routes. You can usually skip 3-4 fuel stops in a single shift.

You burned your clock for 5 hours st a dock? I get now why you think you can’t make money. You haven’t figured out how to manage the clock..

DHT Is way below the national average on turnover.
The turnover that happens is from drivers not knowing how to make miles and earn money.. I made great money last year, the year before that, the year before that! Over 160k miles as a solo!

From what I have been hearing, they have been doing a very good job at catching up on the turnover rate as it is growing rapidly.
