Volvo vnl670 yesterday i turned the truck off it wouldn’t turn back on. I had to turn the key on and off a bunch of times to finally get it to start. When it doesn’t start the gauges will not do the cycle sweep (key on gauges sweep come back down then turn key over) don’t know if that’s the issue. I cleaned battery terminals to no help. When i turn key it doesn’t click or try to turn over. Will a bad ignition switch cause this?
No start vnl670, had to cycle the key several times to start?

Could be a dead spot in the starter

Sounds like bad battery disconnect switch that is mounted above your batteries. Test and by pass it or replace if you like.

depends on year either bad battery disconnect or the cab is not getting proper power depending on year.

The starter works when using a jump wire. Just replaced ignition switch not the entire thing just the part that tumblr goes in. Still no change. So starter good batteries good new ignition switch. But still won’t turn over with key.

Gauges won’t do the normal sweep over. What could be causing it
