this is an actual science, there are people devote their lives to how light works, how to design a good light and so on.
We get these great ideas that putting in something brighter will make things better but if that was the case, then that science would have confirmed it was better being brighter and allowed the manufacturer to make it daylight in front of the truck.
I have in my little home fleet a couple Toyota Prius mainly of the mileage but because the lights are the best in the industry, I have HID lighting in the one I put the miles on and the other I have bright LED (factory) lighting. They don't blind people at all.
These are engineered as they are supposed to be, unlike Fords and GM where they will blind people sitting next to them. I hate passing or being passed by a ford, when that headlight gets into my vision range it is like looking into the headlight.Lepton1 Thanks this. -
Ok...Im gonna wake this thread up some.......2019 Cascadia.....My headlights suck..No my company didn't get the led lights...Mine were adjusted way low to the point I was over driving them at 30-40 mph...So I eye balled a better adjustment and not much better so I now upgraded the bulbs a lil..Still halogen but a lil brighter...Problem is now is that there is almost 2 different patterns from the lights....Primarily a flood like pattern for most of the lighting but at the outer edge there is a spot like pattern..So far so good right?? NOOOTTTTT!! tHE 2 SPOT LIKE PATTERNS seem to aim to far to the right,ex the left side spot seems to shine in the right side wheel track and the right side seems to shine a wee bit on the far side of a solid line of the shoulder...Now its leaveing a dark spot in the left wheel track where people tend to look..Other than messing with f/l and getting no where does anyone have any suggestions..

I drove a 2014, and my 2013 has them right, the 14 is as you describe, I adjusted several Columbias, you can do it with your fingers, usually.
A new guy(not inexperienced) hit a guardrail with it, after driving it, I can understand how that could happen. I know of him, and I'm not blaming him totally. -
Only adjustability i have found is up n down..No left to right..

Up and down is all I try to adjust on the capsule light enclosures, and both have been replaced at least once. Aim is still true, one of the housings was struck hard and later came apart inside, the light socket(s) had come loose.
