Well hopefully it gets easier with that man door if you do get a tandem I would weigh yourself on a cat scale so you have a better ideal on how to tell the loader you want loaded

No we dont have any terminals. We just park at home or truck stops. You may see us a lot between Atl, Bham, Decatur, and Chatt.

@ChicagoJohn Ive learned to build little ramps to offset a lean, almost everywhere I dump is unlevel and I'm past the point in my life of trying to argue that fact to a loaded operator. A little work with my flat head shovel, and some creativity, and its business as usual. Work smarter not harder, and always be safe.

@ChicagoJohn since tips are being given always check your load to make sure it’s centered. especially this time of the year. Level or not if your load hangs up on one side because it wasn’t loaded even could cause a serious issue. I rarely ever dump anywhere that ain’t on solid ground guess I’m just lucky. Did I mention I’m not a fan of having to shovel

@blade unfortunately it's almost a daily occurrence around here to have to get creative, just this morning I dumped fertilizer in the middle of an orange grove row in south Florida, in sugar sand none the less, fun fun fun! Here's an example from a few years back.

So if it’s up in the air like that and the load is stuck, you’re expected to climb up and shovel? I’d assume you lowered it first but I do believe I’m misunderstanding what you all are saying lol

If the load sticks you want it to be stuck evenly if that makes sense!! If it’s loaded to the left or right and it freezes there’s only weight on on side 40ft in the air gravity takes over and the trailer can pull to the side material is stuck. I do say pull cause I’ve been lucky so far if you consider lowering your bed getting out a spade and trying to break frozen rock loose for two hours lucky. But I think it’s better than having to call a wrecker and your insurance company

When I was local years ago I had to deliver loads on soft ground but was with a framed dump. so not quite as nerve racking. hopefully I don’t have to do that with this setup. However bones has lost at least two trailers in the last year on solid concrete pads I believe both to loads sticking in the bed. Do you guys have slope detectors?

    NightWind Thanks this.

I would say no on the "slope detectors", never heard of them. All I have is my two eyes and my best discretion, so far so good :)

There equipped in all bones company trucks it’s supposed to let you know when you aren’t on level ground. I like you use my bad eyes and even worse discretion so far so lucky
