Hey all, was curious of some of our OTR 6/7/8/9/10 car carriers could share what they are getting paid by their companies. I'm aware of what O/O's are making, but wanting to know if OTR company drivers are getting paid by the mile, or getting paid 25% of the gross/net of the loads they're pulling. Thanks in advance.

If you aren’t making $100,000+ you’re working for the wrong company or you aren’t moving enough cars. So if you running hard and aren’t hitting that number “plus” you are selling yourself short.

I don't haul cars ,but it was something I've always thought about because of the pay . I just recently talked to a owner of a company with about 13 trucks from 5 car local guys ( making about $1700 a week) to OTR 9/10 cars hauling from the northeast to the Midwest . The drivers made $2500 to $3000 a week . They started at 25% and went to 30% in one year. The loads averaged $10k one way and they were home by Friday morning. He had all nice first Class equipment and just ordered 2 brand new Peterbilt 10 car rigs at $300k each. He seemed like a straight shooter, pretty nice guy. He said he just signed a 5 year contract with some big company locking in very good rates on those otr runs.
