i will put it this way when you buy your first truck lets say for example only 25k to 50k to buy the truck

then you also have 25k to 50k for repairs for the truck

so to be honest when you buy a truck have the same price in repairs for the truck okay that will help alot with breakdowns and down time

From experience I would tell you NOT to get in to Sprinters. There is no money there. It is very cuttthroat. I did it for a year and was trying to start my own thing doing it after learning a ton about it. You can't get on good load boards with Sprinters unless you have several (Sylectus is 5 minimum and you get the lousy subscription). You can't stay busy enough on there alone anyway. You have to have lots of dedicated customers which means you need to be a full time salesman instead of a driver. The only guys I know making money in expedite with Sprinters have been at it a LONG time. They are grandfathered in to the good boards that have expedite freight, have lots of dedicated customers and have to be super diligent to keep them.

Big trucks are much easier, but I still wouldn't recommend you buy one now or you'll be supporting 3 households, the one you're driving and the two you'll never see.

One learns or already knows how to budget. Been doing it for 4 years now. And still find the $ for nice vacations.

Of course, making 2 house payments would change all that. :/

Not really what I'm asking, I am asking for details of how does anyone need to support two households in his situation.

You hit it on the money sir. Since I'm a pretty open person I'll explain to everyone what's going on once I get stopped for the night. Right now I'm taking my 30 and I'm not about to spend that little bit of time typing everything out.
