Welll.....since the original load was a failure...

Got a good long haul tomorrow morning outta Tacoma Washington to Cordele Georgia...

Gotta be there Monday so guess I’ll be doing some east bound and down type riding

 

I was delivering to a AFB a couple weeks ago. Asked for identification. I handed him my TWIC card and he said they won’t take them as identification anymore.

Huh?

First time I used it I got paid full day rate to drive across town empty and pull a load into a base for a driver because I had a card and they wouldn’t let the other guy on without a TWIC!!!

wTF?

I spend all this bloody money to get the #### thing and then it’s not enough I need to carry my birth certificate too?! I needed that to get the TWIC!!

Gubbermint. Extortion.

No sense in complaining. Scored a longer run in a Quikdraw anyway...
but dang if that ain’t stupid or what

 

In my way home from the vet and seen this a little bit ago. Not my style but....

 

Well we got empty here in Utah. Nothing coming out that would work out the way I needed it to. Some good paying loads but all going to areas where east bound freight is scarce.

So ended up booking one for Friday out of Fort Bliss. Yep, 906 mi DH. Gonna start working that way this evening. Be in El Paso by tomorrow night.

 

I literally just left ft bliss yesterday.

I deadheaded 900 miles home weekend before last too.

That little Mexican joint behind the petro is awesome!

 

My god I have seen a bunch of 150 mile flatbed loads for 300 bucks. One for 400 with twic or 50 permit. I bet they ain't paying the permit. Who hauls this trash? 300.00 really that might get me there!
