I’m thinking the same. I pull a lot of Wal-Mart freight. It’s all no touch. I have never touched a load. Except to assist someone who actually needed a quick hand with product falling as they come out of the trailer. I’ve even unloaded in their parking lot, never an issue.
If true. I would have told the guy to F off and padlocked the doors.
The only people who have to unload freight at a WalMart store. Are vendors.

So the OP is saying they had words with W/M employees in the store parking lot, in public. And the store expected them to unload a palletized load by hand ? Sounds fishy to me !
Coover and stillwurkin Thank this. -
Yea, my guess...
Op got there hours early, or maybe simply before shift change. Mgr. would not unload early and driver offered to unload it. That can not happen for several reasons, mostly to do with insurance I'm sure. Op got pissed as he took the run based on drive times, not appt times and knows he will hit this 14 while waiting on the appt. Op flipped out worrying about his self imposed HOS issues.
I see this almost on a daily basis at the warehouse I run out of. Drivers will get there on say 2nd shift for a 3rd shift delivery. They go ballistic when the dock workers refuse to unload them early. UAW workers, and they complain if the get all their scheduled trailers full, much less an extra trailer on their shift.stillwurkin Thanks this. -

Ever hear swearing out a warrant for "curse and abuse"??? If this story is true, this would have been the way to handle the situation.

At the time, we didn't have smartphones. We have since upgraded, but our phones were not capable of getting pics/video. Believe me, we wished that they were... -
It probably would have been, actually. We were not aware that you could do that. -
We were tempted... -
Think what you would like. I can only tell you what happened. It's up to you to choose whether you would believe it. However, I don't take kindly to being called a liar, sir.
