I have an airline with an abrasion from an adjacent rubber hose. It looks like a main airline, black and orange, going to my rear end underneath the cab. Is it OK to repair airlines with brass couplings and hose clamps?

As long as it is not an actual brake line.

I wouldn't recommend it. Use the proper DOT compression fittings for that kind of thing.

Go to any dealership and have them sell you the fittings. you can get a length of tubing and cut the section out and put in the little splice.

Buy the brass, cut the broken airline. Have 2 crescent wrenches with you, don't wreck the ferrel as they're one time use only so only tighten everything once.
csmith1281 Thanks this.
