I Bluetooth my Pandora music through the truck. Works great.

But when calls come in the truck noise and lousy microphone in the truck make it almost impossible for the other party to hear me.

If I turn off the bluetooth and plug in my earbuds with mic, everything is great on the calls. But after the call the truck won't connect back to the cell for music while driving, since it was turned off.

Is it possible if I bought a earpice/mic combo like the Plantronics 5200, to have the cell pick up the calls and still have my pandora working through the truck after the calls?

    My cell: Samsung S8

There is a place if you go further through the bluetooth menu for each device to choose "media" or " calls"

You mean for the earpiece there's a menu? Don't forget I'm looking to BT calls to the earpiece and media through the truck.

Yeah. I tried to post a pic. I couldn't. I'll walk you through it as I do it I guess.

Drag down the menu from the top off your phone

Do long click on the bluetooth icon

Long click on the settings icon on the far right next to device name

At this point you have a toggle next to

    Call audio
    Or
    Media audio

Select the desired for each device and you are good to go

I haven't purchased a earpiece yet, since I wanted to get this figured out.

That being said I did what you said and saw what I think you meant.

So by doing that I'll basically be able to play my music through the truck, and phone calls through the earpiece? All without losing BT on the truck for the music while driving?

Just want to be clear. Thanks for the guidance.

Exactly. It's one or the other though. There are some bugs though. Like you hang up a call and now you music plays in your headset. It seems like you phone learns your wants and get its, eventually.

It learns you after awhile. I have 2 bluetooth headsets and my deck is bluetooth and after awhile everything connects without me even asking. Just power on.

    Hope this helps

Thanks for your guidance. I bought a Voyager 5200. Got the music going through the truck and when I make a call, music pauses, earpiece kicks in. Get off the call and music continues through the truck. Exactly what I wanted.
