Just got back from the company Christmas party.

    Had a great buffet dinner.

Won a gift card door prize.

    Got a substantial bonus check.

And was given two Thanksgiving turkeys.

If I GOTTA truck, I think I'll do it for this here company.:D

Had to get this load delivered today. Did 689 miles through part of California and a nice chunk of Oregon. I don’t like flirting with the outside of the speed limit envelope like that. It wasn’t the company, it was me wanting to get this trip in so it goes on this coming pay check. I want my wife to have that money to go shopping with. Gonna get my grom a Nintendo Switch for the holiday. Stoked

Sorry. Surf slang for kid. Grom= Grommet. It means someone small or inexperienced.

HAHAH... thanks for the explanation...:biggrin_25519: I never heard that... :biggrin_25512: was this expression used only among you and your friends or is this a common American expression? I never heard anything similar in Brasil either.... we used to say "wound the sky of the mouth"... Yeah... we call "sky" what you folks call "roof".... meaning the roof of the mouth....
BTW, I just finished cooking some brown rice... it's still freakin hot... but the hotter the better.... gonna have a bowl of that plus adzuki beans (just finished cooking too)...

I'm glad I'm not the only one who asks about the meaning of some words here... :biggrin_25519:

"Grom" is how you pronounce "гром", which is Russian for "thunder". Fun fact.:p
