I would be willing to bet that the Amish, as a population, are better at navigating by maps than most of the rest of us. Their religion does not prevent them from enjoying the benefits of paper and math.

What are the two things a lazy person has in common with a brain lazy person?

    A function and a number.

Best advice right here. Don’t be rude about it with him. Just tell him you want him to learn how it was in the old days.

The way a GPS displays a state or US map is crap and completely unsatisfactory for any sort of trip planning for a new driver ... this is sort of the whole point of why to at least try and familiarize yourself with a paper atlas.

Do you use paper or digital toilet paper?

Well; I will agree to disagree! I have run the whole US in the last 8 years out of my 18 years out here without ever opening up an Atlas! I find them totally worthless now that other technology is out here. Does an Atlas show where the actual truck entrance to a facility is? Does an Atlas show how the docks are set up and where a good place to stage while checking in is? Absolutely not! But, I can use google maps and actually familiarize myself with the path into a facility and where I may have to stage all in my trip planning process.... this is a much more valuable process than an Atlas can ever give... But, I think this trainer should focus more on the trainees driving skills and backing skills: just saying... and what does the company think about this issue?
