    Auto dispatch, try this:
Immediately before you do your empty call, approve your logs even if you have already approved your logs that day.

The best DM in the country, Carlos Ochoa, told me about that trick and I was auto dispatched 90% of the time.

I usually approve my logs just prior to doing the empty call. I still do not get auto-dispatched.

I am delivering a load in Hurricane, UT tomorrow (the 19th) at 0900. Live unload.
I was sent a pplan picking up by 1145 in Cedar City and delivering in Sumner, WA at 0700 on the 21st - also a live unload, with the possibility of a driver unload. It is 1100 miles and I am limited by recap hours.
Even with full hours to work with, I would not do it in that time frame.

    Frank,

I've been doing EXACTLY that and only one auto-dispatch since coming back on Nov 1st.

At a 76 truck plaza in Albany or.
Got a Pre plan to pick up in philomath or at 0700 in the morning 16 miles away
Going to Sacramento the next day at 0700. 517 miles away.
Pre plan Originally wanted me to.pjck load up at 1730 today but being 259 miles from my last stop and thought they would finish at 1400 wouldn't make it.
Shoot.... they finished at 1300 and still wouldn't have made it. So I declined the load. Got a message back with same Pre plan attached saying I can pick up at 0700 the next morning
    So accepted it.
Planner said to send a Mac 22 with arrival time to final. But I think I can get it there by 0700 on the 20th.
Qualcomm still driving me nuts lol. With rain forecasted for this Wednesday I wanted to get out of the snow region.
See about getting to lathrop terminal to get it fixed...... hopefully

I got lucky this morning with mac 30.
3 loads offered. One to Sumner, WA, one to L.A., and one to Denver.
Guess which one I chose? I'm headed to Denver.

I'll call my DM tomorrow to see if she can find me a load heading east from there. I'm again sick and tired of being stuck in the west.

But with my hours I can only make it to Grand Junction tomorrow. I could just make it to Denver with no traffic, but... better safe than sorry.
That means I'll have to be driving at around 0330 Wednesday morning to make my 0915 delivery in Denver. Yuk!
I know it's only 250 miles, but morning traffic in Denver...

I have a very light (under 10k) load from Clearwater Paper in N. Las Vegas. At least the hills of I-70 won't slow me down too much. And at that time in the morning there won't be much traffic until I hit the Denver area.

Made it here to Costco in Sacramento ca. Have a 7 am appt. But it's a drop.
Place was still opened and full of cars.
Parked in back of business next door since there is no room on Costco property.

Willows terminal was my fuel stop and dm wanted me to have that shop look at truck. I said no.... wanted to get to Costco tonite and would most likely be late.
Said lathrop is only an hour away from final and I will drive there when I am done delivering.
Already refused a Pre plan that was picking up in willows and going to Nampa id.

I'm hoping to be somewhat east of there by Thursday.
Snow coming in for the weekend. But it looks like it should be light around Denver, heavier going west into UT.

Welcome to Albuquerque. I used to work in the shop there, until May of this year when I transferred to Los Lunas. (Mostly) good people in ABQ. There are worse places to get stuck with no hours.
