Even though I don’t have a favorite among truck stop chains I’ve become a bit disappointed in loves. At 2 separate locations there were no lids for the coffee cups and in addition not all but most don’t have laundry facilities. And I stayed at one not to long ago where they had 5 dryers and only 2 washers. Even though patrons should remove clothes from washer or dryer once complete I can’t remember ever waiting so long to wash my clothes anywhere else. And they seem to have a longer wait time for showers than ta/pilot.
Not to mention that I lost a shower credit that was perfectly valid wth?. Show some love loves!.
Time for loves to show some love!.

I am a dedicated Loves guy but.......... right now, I am getting less & less happy with Loves customer service.
I had a tire blow just yesterday near the Van, TX, I-20 exit 540 location. I limped up there & went inside. Told the guy I needed a tire & he said he was the only one there today & it was going to be a while. He said he had a truck in a bay, then had a road call about an hour away, about an hour to fix the problem, an hour back, then he could get to me. I said so what ya think, about 3 hours? He said at least. He took, my info & I went out & parked. That was about 9:30 am.
I googled tire service in Van, TX. Called the guy & he said I'll be there in about an hour. I pulled next door to Soulman's BBQ & sure enough, about 10:25 he showed up, changed my tire & about 11:00, was on my way.
About 1:30, 4 hours after I got to Loves, the guy at Loves called & said I could pull in the bay. I said; no offence but I am already in Louisiana.
Now look, I understand the shop can get backed up sometimes. That's just the way it is out here in a truck. I understand that situations with employees sometimes. But to EVER have only one guy on duty at a Loves tire shop. That's just inexcusable.mjd4277, austinmike, 06driver and 2 others Thank this. -
I was at the Petro in Perrysburg in 2016 and we had tornado sirens and warnings going off all over. The Love’s across the street kicked everyone out of the building and locked the doors until it was over because of course the safest place to be during a tornado is a giant trailer park. Petro stayed open business as usual.

Or they just don't have the help. New one up by Etown has a fancy shop building, all the bells and whistles and dive or six guys total so far on staff. Been open four or five months. Just no help according to the guy at the counter.Dave_in_AZ Thanks this. -
Just stayed at a loves in the Midwest and it snowed. The parking lot didn’t get plowed or salted and was a sheet of ice I made it out ok. An iced over parking lot is a lawsuit waiting to happen food for thought. Once again loves failing to show love.

It would be nice if they cleaned the showers properly too!

Last time I went to Loves to get a tire replaced a couple years ago I had about a three hour wait. There was only one guy but no trucks before me. Every time the guy would start working on my trailer though some driver that was too lazy to check his own tire pressure would pull into the tire fuel lane and the tech would drop what he was doing and go take care of that driver.Dave_in_AZ Thanks this. -
They would be a lot better if they served coffee.

I stopped at one on the 287 southeast of Amarillo a few days ago for a 30. I got some of what they call coffee, and 3 chicken tenders for $6.
It's amazing how good things taste when you're REALLY hungry.Triple Digit Bullhauler Thanks this.
