Not sure what the deal was on that, but nearly every month (sometimes back to back weeks) I carried to and reloaded in FL. I spent more than enough time at the-place-that-shall-not-be-named in Attapulgus GA and Quincy FL. Usually took roofing granules to Jax to get that way. Or an odd load of spent catalyst.
I'll say this about the tank dispatch guys: I never sat. I always had something to do or a direction to head in.

Buck73 Thanks this.

Anyone still at Oakley active on here?
-
Yes, I've been there a couple years
-
I'm still active but not at Oakley anymore. I left before Christmas to go flatbedding.
-
You too?!?!
Did Mr. Denton or Kent give you a speech about how drivers leave flatbed to come to Oakley?
-
-
No speeches from anyone for me, only Randy in safety reliving the old days when he flatbedded. I didn’t leave for money or glory, I got the opportunity to learn open deck from some buddies that have been doing it since before I was born. They started making noises about retiring in a few years and I figured now or never. I enjoyed my time at Oakley and it was the only job I left that I had reservations about leaving. I had some issues the last six months with getting the miles I wanted and the dramatic increase in scrap yards didn’t do my bank account any favors but the tire shops loved me.
