I was watching some Facebook live video last night by a driver that narrowly missed this accident. It looked devastating.
Did the truck crossover the median? Or was he grabbing gears and toodling down the road, like he was on the correct side of the road?NavigatorWife and Bud A. Thank this. -
I was wondering if maybe he went on an exit ramp rather than an on ramp.
NavigatorWife and Bud A. Thank this. -
It's been so long since I've taken that stretch, I don't recall how all of the ramps were set up.
Anything is possible, I guess.NavigatorWife Thanks this. -

To a fault, they have been doing some construction along I-74 near Bloomington/Normal in recent months so it’s possible he may screwed up and didn’t pay attention to signs. Once you go east past the 74/55 interchange 74 transitions into a divided highway.
NavigatorWife, slim shady, Bud A. and 1 other person Thank this. -
Hard to be a trooper these days- all the disaster everywhere......... A good Winter isn't even started yet- I Give it by the New Year We'll have our first 50 vehicle parking lot,

Anybody wanna take my bet on this one? -
There's not even a cable in the median in that stretch, just a grassy ditch. The nearest on ramps are at MM 135 and MM 142. If he was headed eastbound, he would have had to get on at 135 to run into the westbound school bus at MM 137. That's a long stretch to go without hitting someone else first. Usually wrong-way drivers are in the hammer lane, thinking it's the right lane going the correct direction.
My money is on the driver crossing the median for some reason and hitting the bus, but maybe there weren't any obvious tracks through the grass so the investigators haven't figured it out yet.NavigatorWife and mjd4277 Thank this. -
I think someone posted recently about a 7 truck wreck in Wyoming???
Building up for the big one... LOL...
Where will it be first Wyoming or South West Michigan?mjd4277 Thanks this.
