My boss, who is the bco bought a reefer recently and was given an option for coldchain. Have you ever done the coldchain pharmaceutical stuff? It seems to pay well but it's all team stuff and I don't know how well I would click with another driver in my truck...

That's what i pay every Friday. Plates i pay whenever they are due. I think IFTA is $1700 per year. LS splits it into 10 payments of $170 each Friday until it is finished, no interest. Actually LS is one of the largest factoring companies in all of transportation. That's one of the most important benefits i receive for paying LS 25% on every load i run. Paperwork scanned in by Wednesday at 2pm eastern lands on my comdata card Thursday morning and lands at my Credit Union Friday morning. Easy peazy. This Friday i will have an $11k settlement. That is not normal. Just had 3 fat freight bills line up perfectly this coming week including one from Portland, OR to Memphis. Average week is more like $6 or $7k. Should gross $315k for 2018 so a pretty good year. Expecting 2019 to slow down a bit, which is why i am working my heiny off right now. Reefer puts into some good paying loads that others can't take advantage of, but you can still run dry loads and the split is still 75/25 on those too.

    Northeasterner Thanks this.

No way am i teaming. Meaning no white glove and no AA&E either. Just me and my beagle, Jackson. The money is just fine solo. Just make some great agent connections, be available when they need you, and be on time and treat their customers professionally and you will be fine running solo. The agents call me especially in the winter with all this great paying PFF hazmat freight. I'm picking up in Chicago tomorrow and running a PFF haz load out to Connecticut for delivery Wednesday paying over $5. Light too. 70 degrees. Winter is my busy season. Summer sucks. Spring is ok with produce season in Florida but that stuff is heavy. I took the entire month of August off and went to the Lake. Gonna do it again in 2019. Or i might go overseas and live there for 2 months, but it will be in the summer.

yeah no I told my boss I doubt a team will ever work. better to just recruit another driver.

the bar must be low... my boss swears up and down one or two agents said I'm one of the better drivers they got. why? just cuz I show up on time and try to grit my teeth and act nice to another human being? dang... I can't believe the bar is that low! they must be sweet talkin' him...

wednesday in ct? dang. i might be down there... been running some overnight runs and gotta position in north jersey by midnight.

you ever stop for coffee at one of the TAs or that pilot down in new haven, maybe?

the $1,700 is your plate. I have my own plate so I don't have to pay that. The IFTA is in you permit payment

What kind of trailer? Regional or national? Give me some parameters and I can give you a couple examples of things leaving next week.

Reefer and regional and I also have a flatbed for when I feel I’m gaining weight.
