Man, I would love to, but I don't see it happening. The shop didn't finish up today so I have to pick up the truck tomorrow morning, but now nothing is open over the weekend. I put my order in for decals and lettering on wednesday, then today right before 5pm they tell me it will be another WEEK because they're doing a huge print job for some company, and they're not open over the weekend either. And last, I still haven't had a chance for anyone to go over the trailer with me and show me how it works, and I doubt that will happen this weekend. Plus I'm sure it will be locked up and I didn't really have any place to park it if I had taken it anyway. OH and I'm still waiting on Fuel Cards... really don't want to leave without them if I can avoid it, but I will if it gets to costing me too much to wait.

What do I need to be legal as far as markings on the vehicle other than the tag? Do I have to have a company name and contact info, or just the DOT/MC numbers? Can I get away without those for a week? Should I just go up to Walmart and buy some stick on letters for the week?

    BTW another:

$254 at Walmart for fridge, Microwave, Printer/Scanner, coffeemaker, tupperware, fan.

$320 at Lowe's for tools, gloves, supplies, flashlights/headlights, batteries, rain gear, other odds and ends

$225 between JCPenney and Target for bedding.

    For those keeping track.

Quote for the company logos/printing/installation was not as bad as I thought, $115

    Baack Thanks this.

D.O.T.-MC # as a minimum. You are getting closer. The lettering on my truck cost $150.00. so,your price of $115.00 is a good price. It is a shame you have to wait.
I had a good week. I did my normal Detroit run Monday and Tues. Then I ran two Toyota loads at Princeton,In. Got lucky this morning stayed out in the truck last night so I didn't have to get-up till 4:30am instead 3am.
I am ready for you to get out on the road so we can hear about your adventures.

Where did I come up with the $115.00 lettering price? Did you post that or did that enter my mind from somewhere else? I am tired and may be thinking of something I was looking at in another thread.

LOL, thanks. I guarantee there will be plenty of frantic mid-day posts like "how do you move the 5th wheel????"

Seriously, I don't know. Is the trailer on or off when you do it? I know there's a switch on the dash. In fact half the dash switches I don't know what they do... there's no words, just pictures and some are partially rubbed off. This though I intend to get someone to sit in there with me on before I take off. There's also an air spray nozzle under my seat... I have no idea why it is there or what it's used for. Just a squeeze handle at the end of an air line... squeeze it and pffffft!

I think my handle will be SuperGreen. I also like shark, because if they don't keep moving, they die... (or so the rumor goes).

I think you guys are paying more because you're having them do the design concept and individual lettering. Mine is just a printout that is already digitized, so if you add that $199 I paid for the logo service first, then really I'm at $314, so it's not that low.

Oh anyway I still may leave out late Monday night though to be at a shipper on Tuesday morning, so hopefully I won't be too behind schedule.

The air nozzle in the cab is to use to blow the dust off your clothes or off the dash and the interior of the truck.
You need to be hooked to a trailer to slide the fifth-wheel. Dolly the trailer down. Keep the fifth-wheel locked. Make sure the brakes are set on the trailer. Flip the dash switch to release. Get out and make sure pins are released. Pull-up or back-up really easy and slowly to slide fifth-wheel. When you have it where you want it lock the switch back in on the dash. You will probably have to move the truck alittle bit to get the pins locked back in place. Don't forget to roll the trailer dollies back-up before you drive away.

Did you check-out the wheel base of your truck. I looked at others on the web and I think it is probably 235in wheelbase based on what I have seen.

Definitely, yeah they said that was a misprint. 235" looks about right.

Thanks for the info on the 5th wheel. For whatever reason they don't have us do that at the school. They just tell us why you do it and when it works. I'm going to drive it around for a few hours this weekend to figure out this Super 10. I've been leaving it in high and taking 2 gears at a time to get it from place to place. We learned on a straight 10. I know what I'm supposed to do, I just need to practice it a bit.
