Whelp, monkey wrench. Get to Damche to pick up and trl has a HUGE HOLE IN THE TIRE. So here I sit waiting for roadside (about an hour and a half wait, btw). I was hoping to get home relatively early today. Not. Gonna. Happen.

 

Still better than OTR. At least you’re going home today.

 

I would just like to go on record and say that my response to the buyout was measured and reasonable and predicted neither doom nor gloom, and I reject these baseless accusations.

When you come here you will have most weekends off. It takes a certain amount of insanity though to do the ports.

My first assignment with one company was to ride out to Missouri to rescue a truck and load. Took the load to Vegas, then reloaded for home.

The reason? The driver had a heart attack while on that tour of duty and was in the hospital out there.

 

Yes... and thank you for helping me realize that there might be other reasons to rescue a Truck. I was wrong to assume.

Well, I was in RVA this morning... they fixed my Truck!!! YES!!! Third times the Charm.

It no longer whistles while driving... and the AM/FM Radio is now working... ya, it’s been fun... truck whistling away and no radio to crank up to drowned it out.

So tonight, I get South of Nitro heading to Groveport... and as the Sun goes down, I quickly realize that I have NO LIGHTS!!!

They worked fine when I pre tripped the trailer in Jarrett... I pull in to the Nitro Pilot, verify no lights... reran Lights Test... all are working as expected.

I suspect the Switch on the Dashboard...

Parked at Nitro Pilot for the night.
Will finish the load come Morning.
Then either get it fixed... or drive days...
